Uncle Albert is plagiarising himself, It`s not anon, cos I would`nt want to have anon`s babies. :w00t:

Looks like UA will have to complain to the Bad CO and demand an apology... er... from himself!

How do we know it's plagiarism?

Who here is known by their 'real' name? How do you know it was that person who wrote it originally?

Hang on......why the f*ck do I care?

It was a gag, a joke, who gives a flying one if it's copied?

How do we know it's plagiarism?

Good question …the answer is we know usually because we know the writer…….the regulars here know I wrote that silly poem as it`s in my style…….On the other hand that poem posted by Hobbit was very good ..clever and witty …not like him at all , so the regulars here knew he didn’t write it …….
Same as the brilliant leading article by Iowahawk which was taken from his Blogg and ended up in the Daily Mail……yet as credits were not given a lot of lurkers here might have thought Junglie had written it …in fact if you Google a couple of lines it will point back to this forum and this thread and with no acknowledgement of the author a lot will assume junglie wrote it.……and that is fundamentally wrong………people should not receive praise for just cutting and pasting… Of course on the other hand it can backfire……..On another forum not far from here someone posted a dit that was clever and witty and as we all thought original ……the credits mounted up and before long 20 or so people came in and congratulated him on a brilliant piece of writing…… later he cracked up and admitted it was plagiarism…..
Only once to my knowledge has someone taken a dit I wrote and reproduced it on another forum….. but when I saw the credits he received I chose to ignore it….

To say no one cares where a dit comes from is not true…the writer cares….and I hope Slim and the rest of the Old Guard will carry on condemning plagiarism whenever it occurs……

…….

ps Stee.
Can`t complain to Bad CO ………I`ve got him on “Ignore this userâ€

ME....

Plagiarism, I must be more guilty than anyone, everything i have said on here are tales that i have heard, from my Grandads and Fathers tales as a child, to bits i have read and stored in the back of my feeble brain, to books so deep and serious, the problem is i have trouble remembering who wrote or said what, i have invented one or two things ( the French Bird is not included), generally a change of others, so that makes me a bad boy.

Now where have i heard that before?

Me? You care or you are known by your 'real' name?

I enjoy reading the articles that are placed on the RR forums, however I feel that if has been found elsewhere on the net it is nice to give credit to whoever either wrote the article or if this cannot be found t least a link to the articles site.

Was sent to me from New Zealand before the Plagiarism Polis get me! Apologies if its been posted already

Twas doon by the inch o' Abbots
Oor Johnny walked one day
When he saw a sicht that troubled him
Far more that he could say
A fanatic muslim bastard
Wiz doin what he'd planned
And intae Glesca's 'parture hall
A Cherokee he'd rammed.

A big Glaswegian polis
Came forward tae assist
He thocht "a wumman driver"
Or at least some git half-pissed
But to his shock nae drunken Jock
Emerged to grasp his hand
But a flamin Arab loony
Frae Al Qaeda's band

The mad Islamist nut-case
Had set hissel' on fire
And swung oot at the polis
GBH his clear desire
Now that's no richt wur Johnny cried
And sallied tae the fray
A left hook and a heid butt
Required tae save the day.

Now listen up Bin Laden
Yir sort's nae wanted here
For imported English radicals
Us Scoatsman huv nae fear
Oor hame grown Glesca Asians
Will have nae bluidy truck
So tak yer worldwide jihad
An get yersel tae F***
