  3. Completely different scenarios. One was due to deliberate negligence on the part of the master - the other is still being investigated but there appears to have been a malfunction in propulsion and/or control that has caused the vessel to veer off intended course. The position of the structure, at the end of a harbour wall, does seem to be a bit close and easily able to be hit by collision, which is of course what has happened.
