General Election

Although the media get a lot of stick - sometimes totally justified - most of us expect to see the news reported. In this case, a BBC cameraman seems to have had his foot run over. Was it his own fault for being too pushy? Inconsiderate driving? Pressures from the news desk demanding close-up footage? (sorry for the pun......) Poor control by the political party minders?

Hopefully, not too much damage. Whatever our opinions of some hacks, individual journalists/photographers/cameramen have suffered worse injuries, or even death, in doing their jobs.

Having seen all the argie-bargie and jostling that goes on at these occasions I'm surprised nothing happens more often. Bad luck for the cameraman but it looks as though he'll survive to film another day.
