Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. How old do you have to be to vote? i am 17 and have got many leaflets posted with my name stating i can vote, and i have recieved a poll card, i thought you had to be 18 for this kind of stuff
  2. Have you received a Polling Card? As fas as I'm aware the voting age is 18 still
  3. Desparate times for our MPs, demand desparate measures.

  4. Scarface2009, you obviously have your finger on the pulse where politics are concerned. :(
  5. Age is 18 but there's a loophole. Something like "you can vote if your birthday is x number of days after the election"

You can register to vote if you are:

16 years old or over and:
    - a British citizen
    - or an Irish, qualifying Commonwealth or European Union citizen who is resident in the UK

If you are 16 or 17, you can only register if you will be 18 within the lifetime of the electoral register. You cannot vote until you are 18.
  7. Oh dear. The BNP aren't doing too well. What a shame. :pukeright:
