FSL's interview with The Times

Discussion in 'Current Affairs' started by thingy, Nov 13, 2007.

Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. The Times reports that the FSL is critical of the dangers posed by Government cutbacks and the potential impact these risk having on the RN.

    Times: 13 Nov 07

This was also briefly touched on by the FSL yesterday evening onboard HMS Bulwark when he pointed to the failure to provide a sustained investment in the RN and the likely consequences this would have on the ability of the RN to carry out any task allotted to it in a crisis situation.
  2. Thanks for the post mate, i must have missed this! FSL are in a pretty good position to be honest espcially as they are partly owned by VT, who have landed some lucrative contracts with the Omani's!!
  3. Well this is a refreshing change of tack someone at the top of our Armed Forces who speaks out while in the job, good on him.
  5. I think thingy means 1SL, as opposed to the subcontractor FSL - "Fleet Support Limited" or something similar - which willsonline seems to be referring to.
