I think not!!!!!! - many were Scottish, Irish and maybe even Welsh!
Obviously written by an American who does not know that the English are just part of THE BRITISH ISLES - or THE UK if you prefer :!: :!: :!:
Boikie
You still seem to be under the delusion that the Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish are separate Nation States. About, give or take a few thousand, 87% of the occupants of UK-PLC live in England. However much it pains the Celtic people and not withstanding whatever happened 200/300/500/2000 years ago, you may have noticed that people who live in England do not call themselves Roman, Saxon, Norman, French or German, all the occupants of the UK are seen by the World as English. This being that  Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are seen as little more as just another County as Devon, Norfolk, Kent, Durham etc are as they have in many cases larger populations and financial clout.
Now if this news pains you please vote and go independent as soon as possible.

Aw don't do that Nutty, we all enjoy getting you worked up about those who inhabit the outer regions of London.
Now now Peter I was just prodding the Yarpie to fully understand his grasp of English History.
