this question may have been asked before but cos I is a bit old I has forgotten :) !
does having a forces pension affect your age pension at all?
as I am aging disgracefully I may need as many beer tokens as I can accrue before entering dotage!
Cheers for any semi sensible answers

Slightly!!
It all depends if you opted in or out of SERPS. State Earning Related Pension Scheme.
Certainly in my age group, 67 YO leaving in 92. The mob informed us way back when I was a sprog that I was being opted out of SERPS and if I didn't want to I should contact the pay office. (I didn't). As a result I get a slightly reduced state pension. About £7300PA. (Aprox £140 PW) Whereas my wife will get £154PW as she didn't opt out!!
Hope that makes sense!!

You will get a state pension whatever. The amount depends on your N.I. contributions during your working career. You should get your Pusser's pension at 60 assuming you served after 1975. Your Pussers pension is likely to drop a little when you start to have a state pension because for some reason were were contracted out of the State pension scheme while serving. It is not a huge amount, for me it was about £30 per month but everyone's case is different.
Benefit entitlement is a whole different ball game I know nothing about.
Enquire with the Veterans Agency for more information. Look them up they're on line.
