"The Royal Navy's future commanders have passed out of initial officer training at Britannia Royal Naval College (BRNC) in Dartmouth, Devon.

As the sun shone down, 152 officer cadets were on parade in front of their proud family in friends.

HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince of Bahrain, was also at the ceremony, reinforcing the country's close military ties with the UK.

Bahrain has the biggest Royal Navy base outside of the UK, where hundreds of personnel are based.

The Prince’s son, His Highness Isa Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, also did his military training at BRNC in 2015."
I know its all politics, and We have a base there. But one can't help cringe slightly given the human rights record of the place.

When the boat I was on stopped off in Bahrain, our hotel bar was toppers with Saudis at the weekend, getting bladdered and using the services of Eastern European women who appeared as if by magic.

They disappeared back over the causeway by Monday, no hypocrisy there then!!
