Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Hi I was just thinking "If the Aussies ?? do become a republic they will NOT be entitled to use ROYAL ie: R Aus Navy or RAAF so what title could they use instead of HMAS ****** on their ships or Shore Bases ???

I suppose it would be Australian Naval Ship (ANS) like most of the other bastar*s with no history.

  3. Probably just as Tiddlyoggie says, but what I want to know is why the need to put question marks after the word 'Aussie'? What's the point of that? Do you see what I'm doing here? Question marks come at the end of a sentence, not halfway through. Oh, and why the multiple question marks?????????????????????????????????????

    Curious of Milton Keynes

Why not Australian Navy Utility Ship?

  5. How about ASAB (Ain't She A Beaut?) for the Aussies? I heard the Italian Navy used AMB at one time (Attsa Ma Boat).
