Terrible error. I can't even begin to image what both families must have felt. Just awful.

Agree with that, all competitors are required under ACU rules to wear a 'dog tag' identification disc when racing. It's a mix up that should not have happened

Side car crash.

RIP.

I remember my boss having a pop at me once because in his opinion I rode too fast.

Yet I never had a crash. (Luck) Maybe!!
But he never said a word to my work mate who crashed twice doing 30-35 mph!!
Figure that out!!

My instructor passed two pieces of advice to me.
1. Ride like you stole it.
2. Treat everyone as if they're out to kill you!!
Worked for me!!

I've just caught up with the TV highlights of the Senior TT
Great win for Peter Hickman but Dean Harrison's ride for 2nd place was epic, 5 laps with a hole punched in his fairing by a bird strike
