Looks like the lion is on the bike to me and the bike is on a stand..
Normally before the show the riders are out front promoting the event.
Looks like that's where this picture was taken.
I think the Ken Fox Wall of Death may be the only surviving one in the UK, he and his family trained Guy Martin for his TV show. If you get the chance go and see them perform, pretty amazing!

Notice the engine's similarity to the first BSA Bantam?
This engine was originally designed by DKW, a German company, and the design blueprints were nicked by the Brits and the Yanks after WW2. Yamaha's version was probably gifted to them by the Yanks as part of the package to say sorry for bombing the shit out of the Nips with those big bombs....
The Bantam had the kickstart and gear lever on the right hand side. the nips version is on the right

BSA's Bantam engine has the kickstart and gearchange on the right is because their engine was a mirror image copy of the original DKW design which had them on the left.
Reason being was that most British bikes of the time had right sided gear changes.
