Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I know flat feet would rule me out of army service but will they prevent me from becoming a submariner?
  2. I've just had a flick through the Guidance Booklet for my application and it doesnt seem to be stated in the medical bit specifically. That list isnt exhaustive though, you'll have to check at the careers office to be sure.
  3. As long as you can hold your breath for 8 weeks you will be fine on Bombers!
  4. Diver might be a good career choice...... at least you wont need flippers
    Boom Boom !
  5. As long as you can survive Raleigh and pass the fitness test (2.4 km in whatever your age group is) I don't think anyone would care!
  6. thanks mate its something whats been worrying me for a while now, i think ill just put it rest.
  7. I've got flat feet mate and I passed a medical, guess it isn't a bid deal. Hasn't affected me, I love montaineering and very rarely have hastle with my feet.
