Finally Divorcing the Apple Iphone

I’ve been loyal to Apple and the Iphone for a number of years (from Iphone 3 up to the 6 Plus), however I’m getting fed up for paying a fortune just because it’s Apple and I want the latest shiny one.

I’m starting the divorce proceedings in April, anybody have any suggestions/experiences what phone to get, looks like Android next (never used it) but don’t want to pay a fortune (currently around £45 a month).

And Virgin mobile can do one too :(

I have a Samsung Galaxy 5 (due update soon, not sure what to get) for my personal phone and a iPhone 5S for company phone.
What do a like about the iPhone? errr, don't know, nothing really. Oh yes. Its shiny and pretty.
Much prefer Android though - lots more control over whats on it and how it does things. iPhone locks you into a corner and don't get me going about iTunes!!

I agree ref iTunes, what a pain that is.

I phoned Virgin yesterday to find out when I can start the divorce (April 25th), I have since had two missed phone calls (answerphone) and 3 emails asking me to call them ref an early upgrade. They can effing do one.

Funny how once they think the money is about to dry up they suddenly care about your well-being again, isn't it?

I called up Three yesterday (actually your thread reminded me to do so, so thanks for that) to request my PAC code so I could switch to GiffGaff. They asked me why I wanted to go then happily one-upped what they were offering. So I've gone from £30 a month with a 2-year tie-in down to £11 a month for all the calls texts and minutes I can handle and I can leave any time I like with no fee. Happy days.
