War Hero
As the #Hanson34s begin to settle in, we'd like to introduce you to another new recruit. Everyone meet Raleigh.
Raleigh has just started his training with the charity 'Hounds for Heroes' - a charity that provides specially trained assistance dogs to injured or disabled men and women from the UK Armed Forces and UK civilian emergency services.
£5,000 was required to name a dog after the establishment and it is thanks to the tireless fundraising of one of our former instructors Warrant Officer Sean Reeves and his wife Jacqui.
The couple wanted to support the charity in memory of Jacqui's father, Brian.
Many of you who have attended one of our passing-out-parades will have met Sean and Jacqui and placed some spare coins in their collecting bucket, for which we are very grateful.
They continue to fundraise to support Raleigh and one of them is at HMS Raleigh every Friday.
We will be keeping our eye on Raleigh's progress and hope he will be able to visit one day.
Further information about the charity can be found here: www.houndsforheroes.com
