  1. Hi folks.

I know I'm skipping the newbies section, but I can't find a definative answer...
Can a rating from any branch apply for the Flying Aptitude Test? Are there any restrictions? Or should I be looking to go UY first?
I know I should ask my DO, but I'm on leave for a few weeks.

  2. have to registered as an UY with the FAA RA, and then the AIB will place you on FATs. If you're in a position to raise your papers, the process should take no more than 3 weeks to get a date - that's what we've just achieved for one of our lads (and we were foreign!!).
