Falklands Retrospect

This issue of the Naval Review includes articles writen in the immediate aftermath of the Falklands War. RRs may find them interesting, not only as a record but also in the light of where the RN and the Islands are today. I particularly liked 'South Atlantic Island' about the Acension operation, which I have not seen written up in such detail anywhere else.

As it happens, tucked away among book reviews at the end is a review of a book about the typhoon that hit the US Third Fleet in the Pacific. Thought provoking.

There was some discussion a few months ago about the Royal Hospital School - I was very interested to find an article describing the School and its history in this issue too.
