    Yes they are very close, put in to protect Cartagena, a large Spanish Naval Base, in the 20's, I was planning another visit next February. They are accessible by the brave climber with a large torch. Views are spectacular.

    Silhouetes of 1930's major RN, French, Italian, and USA warships can still be seen on some walls.

  2. When I say accessable by the brave climber with a torch I mean the inside tunnels store rooms turrets etc. A lot has been stolen or vandalized since the army walked away 40 years ago.

  3. Thanks for the info. Was looking for some info on Guns and
    it came up...so thought you must have either (a). climbed up it
    (b). cycled past it or (c). That was in fact you in the photo!
