Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I fly out to Gib tomorrow for an exercise. Does anyone know what (if any) meals I can claim along the way?
Flight leaves at 7am and spend 5 hours in London waiting for my connecting flight.
  2. it's about £25 (I think).

And your unit don't have the right to turn it down either.
  3. Bet they'll give it a damn good try! Thanks for the info,Alfred
  4. When you put the claim in make sure you put detail into the justification column. Day Subsistence in UK is £20 at the moment. Depending on where your journey starts yo may come across the 'you could have had breakfast at home before you left'. Lunch should be no problem. I always used to put something like, "lunch claimed as travelling on duty over a meal time with no access to service facilities".
