I have a feeling, some of those struggling, didn't sort the paperwork out in advance of the 1 January, some are being shafted by EU customs taking the piss, but if in doubt blame Brexit.

Some maybe, but not all, and certainly not Parker.

If I am reading correctly (no guarantee) some of the Scottish fishing industry is struggling, SNP so OTT on leaving the UK they forgot to prepare for BREXIT.
I am sure the wee crankie will spin that, as not a problem, as they will be back in to EU soon?

And theEU is going to fall over themselves to admit another Greek style economy. Coz that is what Scotland will be like. As I've said before wee krankie, whining on about how bad Westminster is and all the while she's holding the begging bowl out.

Now we re out of the EU remember that you are only allowed to bring back 1 litre spirits duty free.
Any alcohol or fags imported from the EU to the Uk will have to have UK duty applied.

Apparently drivers were informed no processed foods i.e. ham or cheese, obviously open targets for jobs worth, Twats proving a point, in EU.
Flying back from Canada via Holland (work) picked up some duty free in Canada. they stapled the bag shut and it was handed to me as we boarded.
Gets to plane transfer in Holland had DF confiscated, Canadians were not using the correct packaging? wtf. there was a pile of these packages' behind him on the floor, he gave me drop dead looks when I said as I walked away, enjoy your DF party.

I work closely and indirectly for the Dutch (crabs), its surprising how there isn't a level playing field with them, they are less military than our own crabs however when it comes to stupid rules they are red hot!!!

I worked over there from Jan to May (2019), walked into the base every day, saw the same security guard, we knew each other on first name terms, however he checked my pass and cross referenced it against my passport every time!! He issued me the pass....

As for fruit and veg, the joke in Europe is how the Dutch grow tasteless food, very true I hate tomatoes however could happily eat a burger over there with one on as it was just water..

The EU is obviously going to play the petulant schoolgirl for a while, various borders and customs officials being awkward just because they can. Simple remedy? Send them the message,' two can play at that game' and give their countrymen a taste of the same medicine.

For the last few years our more vocal brexit advocates have been calling the EU everything from "unelected bureaucrats" to "total Nazis".

At least the quitters now have some idea what they voted for

I have no problem with the EU jackboots kicking off.
Remember import export is a two way street.
The Dutch supply the UK with a lot of cheese and pork products.
I believe that we import more from the cloggies than we export to them.

Well if Boris left the loophole open what did they expect - it’s just crazy that on 31st Dec you have whatever you want in your sarnies but a day later it’s suddenly all poisonous. Crap negotiating as far as I can see and you can bet we won’t reciprocate cos we won’t have put that in the agreement
