Epilepsy in the RFA

Ryn2019

Hi all, I’m 16 and have applied for the engineering apprentice role. I have been given an initial date for psychometric testing which I can’t see a problem with. However over the course of the last few years I’ve had a couple of seizures where I have just been gone for a minute or two, completely harmless, would this affect my ability in being able to join and pass the ENG1?

At the time of the fist seizure I was living in Cyprus (BFPO) and it was their doctors who said that I have epilepsy so I don’t know wether that could account for anything?

I would advise you to talk to an ENG1 doctor as they are the only source of answers for your question. Unfotunately if you cannot pass the ENG1 its is highly unlikely the RFA will take you on.

Pick someone off this list and give them a call to discuss

The Government has a load of guidance on ENG1 which can be found at this link
