So it could be said that even though England have been playing good compared to previous world cups, they are still playing a tad cr@p.

England Vs Sweden, if I am right, England have not beaten Sweden any time recently so when we were 2-1 it was looking good. Then it came, one of the many blonde sweds scored!!!

We were on 1-1 at first, which wasn't good, yes we go through to the 2nd half but however it would have been Germany we were to play. I think we need to hold this match off as much as we can. They have kicked us ou a good few times!! Maybe if we get through to the final, England Vs Germany would be a good one?

But we drew 2-2, next match is against Equador, good luck lads!

I still think Crouch is too unexperienced, wasn't he a sub for Liverpool but only actually started playing this year? I don't know much about footie any more but I do know the off side rule and know this happen in the last England match against T&T, thank god it didn't count when T&T scored!

I am a major Rugby fan and am not really interested in footie but for some reason this year I am enjoying watching the world cup.

I forgot what it was like to watch footie in an English pub, the atmosphere, every one getting involved, the chanting of any corny footie song that could have been redone by Chaz & Dave.

Maradonna scored with a punch and got away with it, why can't our lads???

Sorry folks but lets face it.

Our lot just aren't up to it again - I can't remember the last time I saw such a dismal performance from England in a world cup......oh wait a mo, yes I can, it was in 2002 !

To be fair, and I wonder a trifle whether I should be considering some of Cheefs tabloid style comments, I thought last night they looked not to bad for much of the time. Part of the problem I think is the comments from all directions suggesting that all is lost because one person or other is injured and no one can take their place. How do you expect the team to funtion at peak performance if every one is saying they can't because one man is unfit.

Never mind the Scots supporting the team how about getting the media to act possitively.

I know what you mean Maxi and like you i am a great believer in the team and not single players. It just frustrates the hell out of me when I see them playing so blo*dy negatively.

Okay, losing Owen may b e a setback but it isn't the end of the world ! I sincerely believe that and just wish our team did too !

I wasn't trying to pretend to invent gutter press headlines in my previous statement either. In fact if I was a journo I like to think I would write for something a tad more respectable like The Guardian or The Times.

At the end of the day (please please excuse the footballer colloquialism) we are out there to take part and contribute, and if Lady Luck smiles, maybe to win. I just feel right now that the players don't believe that and if they don,t believe then it won't happen.
 
Well, the next game is against Portugal, has England got the ability to go against a team that has shown they will go all the way to win?

Hello Cheeftiff , hope your feeling better & better , just a thought on Owen , I don't think the Newcastle Fan's will agree I'ts not the end of the world , I was bloody gutted , as I think most of my fellow Geordies will agree , 8O
And can't believe the Diving and general state of the referee'ing in the World Cup , :twisted: Diabolical
 
Bunch of fags, all they do all day is play football and get piad bucket loads of money for it, with all that said they should be able to put the ball in the net every time, but they don't. Shite. Boring game anyway, much more fun watching the morons fighting outside dressed up in their 3/4 length trousers and football shirts. Nonsense.

I implied nothing, just stated my opinion that the fighters outside were morons, and they are, and so are you for gobbing off and getting personal by calling me a twat.
I won't rise this time, but don't start something you can't finish old man.
