    A company I work with, who produce specialist software for managing compliance including quality and safety, are looking for a Business Development Manager for their Aviation Sector. The role would be based in East Kilbride. They're ideally looking for an individual with an Aviation Engineering background with knowledge of the civilian aviation engineering sector.     Business Development Manager – Software
    East Kilbride, Scotland

An opportunity has now arisen for a Business Development Manager to join the Aviation team.




    This appointment would suit a high calibre graduate who is looking to start a career in sales with an industry leader within an exciting and rapidly growing market or a candidate with appropriate aviation sales experience.




    As a Business Development Manager, you will be involved in working alongside our sales and marketing team and assisting them by proactively generating sales leads, handling and qualifying initial sales enquiries and assisting with industry trade shows and exhibitions.




    Key responsibilities will include:




    - Handling and qualifying sales enquiries via telephone and email
    - Carrying out sales lead generation campaigns (both telephone and email) on defined aviation market segments
    - Generating new business opportunities from existing Gael customers
    - Delivering sales overview presentations on the Gael product range
    -Updating Gael’s Customer Relationship Management system (Sage) with business development activities and customer information
    - Assisting on industry trade shows and exhibitions (travel will be required)








    To be considered for this position, you must
    -Be educated to at least degree level
    -Have experience of IT and software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    -Show enthusiasm, with high motivation and a results driven mentality
    -Have previous experience in a customer facing role
    -Possess excellent communication skills, both written and orally
