Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. "The 750-tonne Hunt Class mine countermeasures vessel is on a three-day visit to the port and the ship’s commanding officer, Lt Cdr Charles Maynard, will welcome civic dignitaries on board for a formal reception tonight."

Aha - a formal reception. Perhaps these are even better than the now banned CTPs 8O

We need our RR civic dignitary, Janner, to hasten down there to check it out & report back.

  2. I daresay officers' messbills will take the usual hammering to cover the bulk of tonight's hospitality. By the by, Cattistock's current ship's company (MCM2 Crew 5) returned earlier this year from manning Chiddingfold in the Gulf for six months.

  3. Not if the Gunnery Officer is half decent!

  4. Ah, yes. I was forgetting that the occasional off-license stick-up works wonders for the wine accounts.
