E-Petitions proposed for House of Commons

  1. At last... MPs want the Parliament website (www.parliament.uk) to introduce a section for E-Petitions to MPs so that they can be seen to be in touch with the public. The proposals were made in the Procedure Committee's recommendations (HC 513, 2006-07 [PDF version]) & the Government have now responded positivly. The Government's response is available in the form of a Command Paper (Cm 7193).
