Driving Course......

Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Whats the score with doing a drivers course in the corps? can you do one without actually having to specialise? how long does it take, what does it involve etc.
    Cheers mehowds!
  2. If you get on a driving course you are more than likely gonna be a driver or at least be in an SQ which needs it, like HW.

  3. Any SQ including GD rates get Drives Courses now (run at DST Leconfield near Hull), Its an 8 week course which includes 5 weeks with Civilians to gain your C+E (minimum requirement is Cat C to progress to the Military side of training). 1 week Acquaints on Military Vehicles, 1 week Cross Country and 1 week at Instow (water proofing phase).

    Hope this helps
