Drafts to FSRT?

Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Does anyone know if it is possible to be drafted to FSRT in the RMR and, if so, how many billets are open?

Presume you mean Full Time Reserve Service (FTRS) ?

If so: Yep there's plenty of gapped RM regular billets available for trained RMR personnel both in UK and operationally. Speak to your RMR admin if you wish to be mobilised for a set period. Most mobilisations have been met by volunteers to date.

  3. LB is in the Reg Corps though isn't he?

Whoops, in which case he obviously he means Fleet Standby Rifle Troop (FSRT).

In which case one would assume if there was a gap it could be filled by a trained RM or RMR Other Rank (the same applies).

  5. Yep, I meant Fleet Standby Rifle Troop. I ask because I was under the impression the RMR didn't normally supply blokes to FPG and, as such, not to FSRT. Is that the case?

You'll have to excuse my ignorance, but when you say RMR Other Rank I'm assuming you mean a fully trained and green-lidded reservist?
