Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. No doubt, lots of us watched this programme last night on the box.
I was quite amazed at the number of NHS staff that were in the Territorial Army. But didnt they do well.
a BZ to all of the medical staff who are helping to save lives in both Afghanistan and Iraq.
  2. Yes, rearly interesting / eye popping stuff first rate programme I for one will be following the series

    BZ to the medical staff
  3. Moved for later merge by appropriate mod
  4. It was awful!

In my opinion, they didn't do themselves any favours. Described as "NHS volunteers" was not a good start. Sounded like "civvies in uniform".

Very different to the current lot out there (mainly RN).
  5. Angrydoc - it is interesting that you have that take on it. Of course you see it from a different perspective from us non medical people. I am just the same with Judge John Deed and other legal dramas. However, in the words of the quote "There's no such thing as bad publicity". So it is good that the actions of these people are being highlighted.
  6.
  7. I say, Mods, any chance of getting these 2 identical threads merged?
