Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. From a Thames riverboat, at Limehouse bend, St. Annes Church is identifiable by it's prominent tower and unique White Ensign:

(IIRC that golden ball is synchronised with the 13.00 red ball time signal of Flamsteeed House at the Royal Observatory, Greenwich.)
  2. I was born and raised a mile or so away....
Then it was a tatty and run down part of town but with excellent pubs.
Now it is full of 'Pret a Manger' imported coffee bars and no pubs.
    Times change.
