Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Hey people

A lot of good information has been given here on the PEDA for the MCD's
but as I understand it there is also a one week selection test at some point after the PEDA?

What do they look for in the selection test, and what are the big differences between this and the PEDA?

I realise its probably a stupid question, but I just want to get ALL the info on all aspects of becoming a diver.

Passed my RT by the way, woohoo!

    all the best.

  2. Check out your PM's

  3. When I did it, they used to poke you with a stick through the bars of the cage. Unfortunately this has now been stopped for health & safety reasons.

1, Give 100% effort 100% of the time.
    2, Don't gob off
3, Don't ask to be spoon fed every phuqin detail.

The object of the training is to find suitable candidates to become divers, the qualities that are required are not found by researching websites, you either have them already or you ain't.

  5. Awesome. I normally have to pay double for that kinda thing.

Understood, and point taken. Thankyou for the honest advice.

    All the best.

    Jack.
