Here we go again and the next Diesel Boat Reunion will be held at the normal venue on the normal date as per usual. Basically, at the Oakvilla Social Club, Weston Mill ( PL2 2EL ) which is behind Camel Head Fire Station on Saturday 1st August starting at about 1200 ish.

Anyone requiring the buffet, it will be, as usual £5.00 cheque to be made out to Mr MW PITKEATHLY and to be with me by the 27th of July at the very latest please. If you could send a cheque for the £5.00 to THE DIESEL BOAT REUNION, The Courageous Exhibit Office, N193, HM Naval Base, Devonport Dockyard, PLYMOUTH, PL2 2BG. Can you make sure that I have your full name and email address with the cheque please. Unfortunately, this will be non refundable. If you want to pay be bank transfer, email me and I will forward on the bank details.

Can you please get the word around to those very few that are not on email and maybe interested in coming along to the DBR please

A message from Ken Woods that if you are in Plymouth for a long weekend, the Plymouth Hoe Club, 1 Osbourne Place, Lockyer Street tel no: 01752 311512 welcomes all submariners. If you are staying locally for the weekend it's a popular watering hole for shipmates and a place to meet up before the big day!

I have about 450 email addresses on the hotmail account unfortunately about 70 of them get thrown back at me as incorrect. The chit that is completed at the door in a great many cases is just not readable. So this year I will have my laptop by the door and on arrival email addresses can be added directly, thereby causing a lot less hassle and grief from both you and me.

I trust that you are all well and look forward to seeing you at the 2015 DBR

    Kind regards

  2. Gives me plenty of time to save up for it. If I cannot get a fiver together, can I bring
my own food please? Plenty of Iceland quid meals for shift-workers in my freezer, as
long as there's a microwave available.
Marked off in my hectic social calendar.

  3. Well if you will keep spending your money on scratchcards! talking of which some miserable b*steward in the village has just dropped £1M on a scratchcard ... only trouble is the miserable sod is keeping stum otherwise I'd be round after a handout!
