    As part of this years Ocean City Festival the Devonport Naval Heritage Centre will open its doors to the public for another chance to take in the splendour of Britain's Ocean City's fantastic naval history.

    Visit the Naval Heritage Centre and discover how the dockyard of the 1690s has grown into the largest Naval Base in Western Europe, and led to the creation of both Devonport and Torpoint.

    Explore eight galleries of artefacts displayed in adjacent buildings in the historic South Yard. Take a guided tour of decommissioned nuclear submarine HMS Courageous to gain a fascinating glimpse into the world of the “Silent Service” (tours available throughout the day, booking available on-site at 10am, 12noon & 2pm, first-come first served; minimum requirements: ID for over 16s, under-16s must be accompanied, min 4ft/1.2m height, sensible clothing/footwear, physically capable of climbing vertical ladders).
