  1. I need a bit of help with one of my father’s pictures. The caption is “sparks+pekett cyprus patrol 51†My old man is sparks and he tells me this picture was taken between 1941-43, they had been sent ashore from Euryalus to help direct her guns during an exercise. This story is at odds with the caption and he’s getting on a bit, so did Euryalus fire on shore targets on Cyprus during the war. Or was the exercise in 1951 or was this Cyprus patrol nothing to do with directing guns. Any help gratefully received.
