Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. My ace spy dispatched attatched picture of a CVA (is that what they are called these days)sneaking past his front hedge on the River Clyde yesterday afternoon.

    You are being watched boys.

  2. That's a pretend LPH, Ark to be precise......
  3. Must be a bloody big hedge if they were trying to sneak that past it.

  4. Blooming heck, it's not raining!!!
  5. Hasn't for about a month, we are getting withdrawl symptoms.
  6. is there a spotter in the house? :D :D :D
  7. Nah, a spotter would tell you the tugs propulsion system...
  8. You couldn't miss the BIG R07 painted on the side. :)
  9. R07 used to be the number for the Helo carrier Albion ('The Old Grey Ghost of the Borneo Coast' as was).
Do they reassign pennant numbers to newbuilds these days ?

  10. Don’t know. Not that I’m a spotter, but the old Ark was R09 and whilst the new Ark was in build she was briefly painted with R09 as well.
