Numbers rising again........ 1772 new cases in the last 24 hours.

I drove along the seafront yesterday - of the restaurants that were open there didn't seem to be much in the way of social distancing, and obviously, as they were eating and drinking, no masks. This is a town that relies mainly on Spanish tourists, so most of these folk are from Granada, Madrid and Malaga...... not good for us.

Leader and myself still in virtual isolation, but our choice, as there are active cases in towns to either side of us.

There is much talk of fines for non-compliance in the UK but very little seems to be happening in the way of enforcement. The preferred method is the friendly chat and the supply of advice to those who claim they didn't know what the rules were.
At the moment the UK is seeing increasing numbers of new cases but this isn't being matched by increasing hospital admissions nor extra deaths. The new cases, we're told, are mainly among the under 30 age groups who have decided that they are going to have a good time while they can. The government has threatened a second lockdown if there's a second spike but to be honest it would be the final nail in the UK's coffin and will be the very very last resort.

It's long overdue that fines were handed out, those being twats aren't going to start behaving until they realise that there are financial penalties if you can't be sensible.

The average Spanish family is 'poor' - hence the HUGE black economy. For example, a teacher gets something like 1200 euros a month. A lot of adults still live in the family home, which is why kids are driving brand new and good cars.

There was a list of fines published recently, but I can't find it, I remember it is 100 euros for no facemask and 300 for attending an illegal rave/party. For those that host discos or parties it is from 30,000 to 300,00 or 60,000 to 600,000 euros depending on the size of the establishment / number of people - who will also be fined. Nice little earner for the Government!

3 C's? Surely it is just avoid one C - since most people are total C's and probably riddled with more than one disease . . .
