Serious nut on.

Any legal eagles out there that can offer advice and guidance in neanderthal language that I understand with regards to writing a Last Will & Testament?
"Mirror wills. IHT limits, executors....." Wahhhh, my brain hurts. Me and WolfPack want a simple solution that basically states "I die - you get it, you die I get it, or if we both go to Coronaland in the sky together, the daughters and (most) of their tribes get it"
I'm trawling the interweb net for a viable and legally correct option but this is not my area of expertise. I just lift and move heavy things.
And yes, I know I should've got round to doing this yonks ago, but, as usual, it got put on the back burner for way too long.

Serious nut off.

Billy do not use one of the will writing companies, use a REAL solicitor.
I used a Willwriting company and by the time the guy had got in his car and I had read their terms and conditions etc. I decided to cancel.
I then went to a solicitor, he was fantastic, explained to me in detail all of the quetions that you have asked and more besides. He is charging my wife and I nothing for storing our wills and the cost was very reasonable.
We have mirror wills.
The solicitor is making nothing from writing our wills. He will earn money when one of us dies and Probate is needed.
I have no problem with my solicitor handling my probate, your family can do it themselves but I don't think it is an easy job

Thank you Slim/Dusty. All this info is being processed and I think that current and future DIY tasks are now postponed until I get all this legal when-I'm-dead malarkey sorted.
(Not that that there's going to be a ton of money for the vultures to swoop in on).

Billy use a solicitor, most are really helpful.
Me and the missus used a firm in Abergavenny, recommended by a friend, nice family run business,
very professional, and all special requests covered. Our wills are stored securely by them so no worries there.
Will writing outfits are just out to get your money.

I'd go with advice offered so far, don't use a specialist will writing company they charge a fortune, I worked with one, ex observer offered to do me a deal and write my will for £800 he got quite upset when I told him to fuck off, apparently he was doing it at a discount for me. I used a local solicitor (para legal really) who charged about £200 for two wills, gave loads of advice and pointers on the does and don'ts and they store the wills. The do of course make money being the exec. if you want them to but you can nominate some one else if you want.

@BillyNoMates there has been a local solicitor advertising a free will service, all they ask is you think of a donation to a charity of your choice? The one below?

Go to a solicitor, wifey and I had our wills updated and it cost a couple of hundred quid. Will writing is not regulated but solicitors are so you have legal safeguards. Cock up on a self made will from a website and it could cost your family in the long run.

Mrs AC is off work from yesterday with a hi temp, cough and just feeling shite all round. She's decided to self isolate for seven days, as we're all advised.
She works for the NHS in a kidney dialysis unit, so I reckon fair fucks, be on the safe side. Her line manager has emailed her saying, 'just take paracetamol and see how it goes'.
WTF? Surely that's the gashest advice from a health professional. I told her to take it higher, but suppose with everything going on, that's all they need.
I just couldn't get me hat on, so to speak.

ETA. Take paracetamol and return to work.

Just coming out of 2 weeks of that.
Get her to sit in an upright chair and take deliberate controlled breath's, it will help if the breathing goes pair shaped, 7 days of that 2 weeks were very dark and not really in my memory.
Look after her and yourself, scrub out for skippers rounds at least once a day, and wash hands lots

Good luck
