To finish off the year in which we have seen the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of WW1, Pen & Sword have given me two of copies of this book, which is a reprint of the 1977 edition. It is a well presented and illustrated book of the postcards that were sent by and to Servicemen from all sides, during the War, snail mail being the only means of communicating with home.

As ever the competition is accessed through Survey Monkey, link here.

For anyone with even a passing interest in WW1 or social history of that period this is a cracking book. Even if you don't have that burning desire to know more about the period 1914-1919 then you will still find lots of interest here.

The competition will run until Sunday 28th December.

I was about to have a go at this. Sunday hasn't finished yet.
I'm lodging a formal drip.
Thank you BNM, your Drip is important to us.

There are lots of factors to factor into your decision, such as the comp will run until Sun 28 Dec so therefore it could be concluded that it should have ended at midnight last night. However to assist you in your Formal Drip, please read the rulz which outline, succinctly the care and precision with which we consider Drips. You can find the rulz at the top of the Comps Forum. Once your Drip had reached the required level on my Giveafuckometre I will respond in more detail.

Thank you for your Drip, it is important to us!
