Have a go at this great free competition for a chance to win a copy of this fabulous book. Have a look at Lucretia’s review:

Warrior Women : 3000 Years of Courage and Heroism by Rosalind Miles and Robin Cross

    Warrior Women.jpg

We are using a different format for the competition - all you have to do is go to the link in the SurveyMonkey and answer three (I think quite-difficult-but-Google-is-your-friend) questions, put your details in and sent off the form.

5 lucky winners will receive a copy of this great book. Competition runs until 11 March 2011 and is run to the usual Rear Party/ARRSE/Rum Ration rules – whatever BCO says goes!

This book would be a brilliant addition to the bookshelf of anyone who has an interest in Military History and gives a different slant to it. May also come in handy for those inter-Mess pub-quizzes.

Have a go – if you ain’t in, you cain’t win it! Even if you don’t win you may just learn something from the questions (I did!) and it can be a bit of fun.

Remember - competition closes 11th March - don't leave it too late!

  2. Thanks A-G.
Great review and I learned a lot searching for the answers !!

Like d'Eon (I used his full name and the shortened version - showing off again) was allegedly suffering from Hypogonadodtropin eunuchoidism (Kallman's syndrome), or - 'Underdeveloped genitalia and sterile gonads'.
Think I might have that too. My brother-in-law definitely has.

Book's on my 'wish list' just in case I don't win.

I thought I was going to be the only entrant, until I wiped my behind.

  5. Well, that was both fascinating and educational indeed :)

Actually glad I searched now :)

As long as you typed "meteor".

  7. One doesn't do such a thing. One has an apprentice butler deal with number twos.

I am ashamed of you Wits, have you never heard of integrity?

Nothing would get me to part with the answers before the end of the competition, except hard cash of course.

I'm glad you mentioned cash, because I don't swing that way.

Just a reminder to all entering this competition - some of the questions are two-parters, so just giving the individual's name is not sufficient.

    RTFQ FFS!! :)

  14. Well I've entered and I didn't need Google :sweatdrop:

    honest :snorting:

    I'm impressed.

Only 2 days to go but plenty of time to get your entry in. Out of 52 entries to date 33 are fully correct. Many of the incorrect entries are because the questions(s) have not been answered IN FULL!

Remember RTFQ (Read the F***ing Question!)
