Hard to believe that it is 20 years since this book came out; and what a controversy it caused! OK, without going in to that controversy, I have 5 copies of the 20th Anniversary edition of Bravo Two Zero to give as prizes.

The entry form can be found here: Survey Monkey

The competition will run until Sunday 16th June.

The book is being reviewed by AlienFTM and the review will be up on the site soon.

McNab missed a perfect marketing opportunity here: 20 years since "Bravo Two Zero" so it could be released as "Bravo Twenty Twenty" (or "Bravo 20/20" even), and he could've distributed a range of fruit-based fortified wines of questionable vintage, traditionally loved by many of the people who served with him in his old regiments (apparently). Just sayin', like...

Because he pissed on a few comrades of theirs image. It wasn't the most successfully planned and executed patrol the SAS has ever done.
Fundamental flaw being the rubbish weather report they received.Apparently. Can't imagine going anywhere desert-like without warm clothing, the nights must be freezing. Can't imagine going anywhere at all without warm clothing come to think of it.

One of my mates was intimately involved in that series of patrols. The attitude and prep he describes of the B20 guys is cavalier at the least and not how you normally think of them. He has little time for Andy McNab as he himself was the worst offender in his eyes and then went on to earn a fortune from it.

So, if there is even a grain of truth in that you can see why the Regt has a hard time with him.
