  1. Is Commodore Nicholas Lambert our only one, Sea-Going Flag Officer? HMS Cornwall Flotilla
    We have 70 of them plus 40 Admirals but so few ships for them ever to sail on, As a tax-payer I feel aggrieved.
    Please explain why I should not feel so aggrieved.
    Commodores are Flag Officers in that like their counterparts they fly a flag. Cmde Lambert flies one red ball.
  2. wet_blobby

    wet_blobby War Hero Moderator you want a flag as well?
  3. Erm, no.
    You want answers, write to your MP and bore him to death instead of us.
    We can only offer opinions here, if we wish.
  4. I used to work at Stonehouse, home of amoungst others COMATG. They have a Commodore who doesn't serve on any particular ship but is deployable and regularly so.
  5. Mod Head;

    I have locked this thread as it seems you're only intention on RR is to cause trouble.

    Please do abide by the Qtr deck forum rules, same goes for the rest of the forums on this site.

  6. That's democracy for you. Does Rum Ration receive any money through Adrian's good offices?

    Dear oh dear - it doesn't get any better does it.

    Cdre's (please note the correct abbreviation) are NOT Flag Officer because they DO NOT fly a Flag.

    They fly a Commodore's Pendant. Which is different.

    As an alleged former Naval type you are beginning to show yourself up a bit.....

    And as a Tax Payer you can feel what you like...
