Christmas Card idea for our wounded...

Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Yesterday I saw a thread on this site suggesting that people send Christmas cards to wounded troops at Selly Oak. I think that this is a good idea but looking at the following site I realise that as well as Selly Oak and Headley Court there are also 14 regional sites as well:

"The Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC) at Headley Court is the home of the London medical rehabilitation centre run by the Armed Forces. The Armed Forces also run 14 other regional rehabilitation units."

Would it be a good idea if the MoD publishes a central address to post Christmas cards which could then be divided between the above locations so that no one misses out? This might be a better idea than publishing the 14 addresses for security reasons.

This is just a quick idea, what do you think?

Replies welcome from anyone, particuarly military doctors/padres etc serving in Selly Oak, Headly Court etc.
  2. Sounds like a good plan to me Shippers!
  3. Perhaps the MOD could have a central mailing collection point and then distribute the cards to the various hospitals etc.
    Just a thought.
