Cheating/Infidelity Common Practice??

Anne's Hill Road.

Just helping like!! They still use it!
Gosport driving test centre closed down a while back, but they stopped doing hill starts on Ann's Hill bridge because it was always clogged up with learner drivers practicing being the only hill in Gosport apart from Haslar single way road bridge. The nearest test centre is now on top of Portsdown Hill so hill starts are back on the test schedule

Dont forget the sauce for the goose aspect of this.Ive woken up in too many MQs to believe that infidelity is a male pursuit.

I would not worry so much about deployments
saturday nights, sloshed on the revolving dance floor in Reflex (plymouth) is dangerous. More so when he lies to you and tells you he is duty weekend

I once worked for a bloke who had convinced his Mrs he had been doing 1 in 4 duty weekends for the entire duration of his marriage.

Not everyone cheats, but having been in a long distance relationship if you have any slight doubts or old scars in the relationship (ie. past cheating) it would be extremely hard. The environment allows for such activities, i always remember my housemate was seeing someone in the RN and she found out he had a gf back home. His reply? 'This is my week life thats my weekend life'- of course not everyone is like that but being away let alone being in the forces allows for it. Can you cope with agonising over whether he is telling the truth when he says he has to do a last minute weekend duty? If he doesn't answer the phone is it as he is onboard or is he out with some pompey schlaaaag?

Only you know if its worth it, i wouldnt personally in the circumstances but what will you regret more...its not just about whether he will cheat again, it is also the worry, paranoia and over thinking. He has already done the damage really, even if he never touches another woman again those niggling doubts you have can play havoc with ya mind.

How common is cheating/infidelity in naval basic training/deployment on submarines?
In horrible position - partner signing up but is a proven cheat. I'm at my wits end. "It will never happen again" just doesn't cut it when he's going to spend months away from his partner/child with no contact.

Please be honest. I don't want to set myself up for heartache.

Always found it to be a two way thing. Wifes have more opportunity as they are left behind with the privacy - if you can call it that, of their own place! Whereas hubby or should I say partner, may have to book rooms or share the experience with a broad minded audience!!!

The oldies will remember 'OMO' rife in FQ's. (MQ's in old money).

Lets face it once he has escaped your clutches he is probably going to end it all together anyway.

A couple of pointers for the more sanguine among you.

Once you cheat on her, she is much more likely to cheat on you. Sauce for the goose, as some other posters point out.
When men stray, they usually don't want to leave, and will work it out. When women stray, its usually done.

Simple solution here; an open relationship.

The more tootie-noots you can poke it in the better.
