Cheating/Infidelity Common Practice??

I've just completed 3 weeks away from the good lady for leadership and, to be honest, it was hell. I didn't like being apart from her and it was the same the other way. However, daily email contact was a big help and kept me away from drinking and any temptations that drink might bring.

As iterated, it does depend on the individual.

Navy has changed a lot, HMS Royal Arthur Corsham cost most of us a small fortune to complete the leadership course, and it was 6 weeks long not three. I always reckonned that there should have been a special entertainment and socialising payment while on course

It's since moved to Collingrad and the syllabus has been changed, even in the two years since I first went along as a keen sprog. The social and entertainment is only available on the last thursday as there's no time at any other point. I'd say that three weeks worth of drinking is stuffed into three hours and the resulting parade on the friday is just more than a little messy.

Dingos has now closed down, there is absolutely nowhere worth spending money so you would be fine these days...

Are there any hills at Collingwood to drag round that beer barrel full of sand/concrete or whatever TF was in it; that was great fun, wasn't it!

Collingrad and the surrounding area is flat as ****. Took my driving test there and the hill start was on a gentle slope where the road went over the disused railway line in Gosport.

I think it was 4 weeks by the time I got there, but what a blast it was! Flaming Joe's, the 'unhappy wives' aka F Troop behind the wire and then my mate's (who was there at the ame time) girlfriend at the time was a trainee nurse at (I think) Bristol Uni - so our socials were a blast! Literally busloads of nubile young wenches arriving and we banned F Troop - 'we allus comes in 'ere for the bop!' Not tonight you don't!

Oh Happy, happy days! Fly with the owls, soar with the eagles. Not easy when you are surrounded by turkeys!

Three weeks, Hell? Are you for real?

More real than you, shipwreck but I also have the pay rise to enjoy as well, since I completed it.

Also, this is why those three weeks were hell as I did also get to enjoy a family bereavement halfway through the course and, hearing how upset my other half was at their passing tore me up inside, as he broke his promise on seeing his great-grandchild before he passed away. I decided to continue to go through the course and drove myself and my team a bit on the hard side - smashing our return back. When all settled down and I began to relax, my body gave up and started to let the cold settle in to the extent that I began to show signs of hypothermia. Yet I still managed to gain a V Sat pass, even after all of that.

What I will add, as a postscript, is that the welfare support system is absolutely fantastic now and the staff will help you through whatever decision you ultimately decide to make. This applies as much to those left behind as it does serving.

We've all passed a 3 week leadership course with a V Sat before.

Im not even going to comment on the rest as its pointless as totally different to what you said in the first post. So lets just leave it at that.

I loved the leadership courses, just ****ing about for a couple of weeks and not doing any real work...and you get out on the hills for a couple of days...result!!
I used to love listening to the CPO (Wtr) trying to explain the importance of motivating the troops in arduous conditions....."Er excuse me shiney arse....when was the last time you were stood on a cat in the pissing wind rain sleet and shite weather of Faslamabad doing a prop change and the lads are freezing their nuts off...the engineers on board are too pissed or lazy to turn the shaft 180 and some ********* officer shouts down..why aren't you wearing your beret?"...Takes real leadership not to run up the gang plank and launch the twat down the casing!!!
I got a Good, but needs to concentrate on his parade ground skills....yeah righto!!

Aye!

Did anyone else receive a letter from HMRC about laundering your uniform. A bit of a tax deduction to further complicate self assessment.

But at least the strippers will get an extra tenner in their knickers.
