INSIDE BRITAIN’S SECRET NUCLEAR SUBMARINE

SYNOPSIS

For the first time on television, cameras are granted access to one of the UK’s nuclear missile submarines at sea as it prepares for a new mission. HMS Vengeance is one of four submarines that carries Britain’s Trident nuclear deterrent. It’s home to a crew of 160 men who spend months at sea working in complete secrecy. No area is off limits to presenter Rob Bell who lives on board for five days and nights, delving deep into this clandestine world of national security and terrifying weapons.

No area is off limits to Rob Bell....... REALLY?

I can't wait to see what goes on behind some of those usually locked doors - happily I'm not a Commonwealth person, though now he'll be able to see what he was missing!

Maybe they'll open the Nav Centre door to be faced by a load of sheets draped over everything!

A 2 ringer on the planes? Really? Did he see the cameras and push the flunky aside?

Otherwise - meh - a bit like the curate's egg, could have been worse.

The individual is on a very specific contract employed as a maintainer, not as part of the WE management chain, so was carrying out the watchkeeping role of a Senior Rate.

Edited because; not sure what happened there, can't see my answer.

The Lt on the planes is a WE employed on a very specific contract in a maintainers role, he's not part of the WE management team. Hence him keeping the same watchkeeping duties as a Senior Rate maintainer.

Roughers at PD:

'Chief S-B to the Cab Space where your illegal stash is rolling all over the deck'.

For rounds, maintenance etc, it was essential to have 'stuff', most of which was banned. In the Cab Space was a large cupboard, which right at the rear had another 'secret' cupboard for 'stuff'. Allegedly.
