I’m set to join this week!!!! Will my date be set back if I change branch?Your AFCO will already have told you that changing branch at Raleigh is a no go. I have seen it happen on extremely rare occasions and when the overriding need of the Service dictated that it was possible. Changing branch at Raleigh is not guaranteed or a right. If you want to change branches do it before you get to Raleigh and join the branch you want from day one. You absolutely must speak to your careers adviser before you join.
Yes, almost certainly. Entry dates at Raleigh are predicated on follow on Phase 2 training courses. However don't let that stop you talking to the AFCO soonest. As has been said, there is a procedure for branch transfers, but it isn't a right and requests are also refused. Do you really want to join to do a job you don't like?I’m set to join this week!!!! @smpsjs I am certain there is stuff on this forum about CIS but as I understand it the very nature of the job makes it an unsuitable topic for an open public discussion.
