  11. Lesley and I have the most expensive cat in Worcester. Elsa a bog standard Tabby. After her latest operation on Tuesday 23/2/10 she will have cost us near £1000. And I spent the majority of my time in the Prison Service as a "Dog Handler" for fcuks sake.

  12. Bog Standard?!?! Stick a spoiler on her, a few stickers, some chrome and a 'Banging' sound system, and she'll feel like new. :D

Feel your pain about that though, we had our cat over twenty years, soon as I joined up he started going downhill, shitting everywhere. Poor bugger.

  13. Don't forget the RNs very own brave little pussy:

Able Seacat Simon of HMS Amethyst, who was awarded the Dickin Medal (Animal VC) for gallantry under enemy fire.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simon_(Amethyst's_cat)

the entire crew of HMS Amethyst attended his funeral in Ilford in East London. His gravestone reads:

    IN
    MEMORY OF
    "SIMON"
    SERVED IN
    H.M.S. AMETHYST
    MAY 1948 — SEPTEMBER 1949
    AWARDED DICKIN MEDAL
    AUGUST 1949
    DIED 28TH NOVEMBER 1949.
    THROUGHOUT THE YANGTZE INCIDENT
HIS BEHAVIOUR WAS OF THE HIGHEST ORDER.

    SP.
