Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Hi - can someone point me in the direction of the best place to check for Royal Marine fatalaties/casualties in Afghanistan. A friend has been emailing someone for a while and he has suddenly stopped writing. She would like to know if he is dead or just didn't like the photo she sent and so is concentrating his efforts elsewhere ... she will be very grateful ... Happy New Year

  2. I dont know how to reply to this without offending anybody, so i wont.

  3. go for it higgsy ... you know you want to ...

  4. The BBC is very good for that sort of stuff, but they do not list injuries only fatalities.

Names of those killed in action or otherwise in theatre are published at

    www.mod.uk

Not sure about those hospitalised with serious injuries. Families are always informed first (at the risk of stating the obvious) in all cases.
