Car Insurance

Not sure which thread this fitted in really.

Has anyone got any advcie on past experience on the cheapest car insurance company for someone just going from third party to fully comp with no - No Claims.

Hmm, things like your age, how long you've been driving, the make/model/age of your vehicle should be considered - one company may be cheap for one driver but not necessarily for the other.

I have found in general servicemen are a greater risk, (insurance wise). As they live, shall we say, a little different to civilians!!!

There is no doubt the only answer is to shop around, and certainly the comparison sites help a lot. Shielas Wheels ended up best for me before I ventured into the murky world of direct japanese imports where you need specialist companies. It si also worth looking into any owners or other special interest group clubs as they often get much better deals. For a while my son insured a Triumph Dolomite Sprint through the triumph club for less than I paid for a normal car despite him being under 25.

Maxi I thought you were a butch submariner, don't tell me that you gad a sex change just to get cheap car insurance from Shielas Wheels :p

But Slim remember first I was a mean Scot and genes are thicker than most things. If it's cheap I'll talk with a squeeky voice if I have to. Didn't actually, did it all on line and saved £100 on my Esure renewal which was a bit strange because S's Wheels are a part of Esure.
