Time to change the Woolies brand name from "Winfield" to "Winfolded" then.

  2. If they do close there will be alot of nostalgia from the older generation. But when they have gone who will put there hand on their heart and say they really miss them?

  3. What will they do with the Pick N Mix mountain????

  4. Supermarkets have put the end to shops like Woolies.
I think its a shame as it means less competition.

  5. Another piece of history gone!

It was always a great adventure to go to WOOLIE'S the original big supermarket like walking into Santa's Grotto all those toys

    Supermarkets.

Quick sale still fresh all the way from Kenya and it is still fresh and it has been on the shelf a week!!

Bent bargains! Bent bollocks! Best form of food poisoning dented cans!

Not forgetting over here the small supermarket selling green spuds! Will they catch on I thought to myself?

  6. It's not gone yet, just into administration. There is already interest from a buyer.

  7. Went from selling stuff cheap , like Argos with sweets and better sevice. to selling crap not necceserily cheap it ll be missed but passed its sell by date.

  8. Emerald, of course, your worship!

I knew Woolies had lost it it when they stopped selling Airfix kits in placcy bags.

Does that mean that I'll never be ignored again by shop girls in Barmouth and Bangor?
