Interesting article in the FT about our current spend on the war. Looking at this from a rather unusual angle, is this deployment and large spend, leaving us with a more battle hardened and effective military or is it causing us to cannibalise what goodwill and equipment we have, reducing our ongoing effectiveness.

    Your thoughts folks please?
  2. We should have spent £6Bn developing electric cars.

Then we could tell the whole Middle East to piss off forever and we could go back to minding our own business.

Of course we must fight a war every 10 years or so to keep ourselves in date but isn't Herrick/Occulus and Banner enough (I accept that Banner has now finished and Occulus is majority drawing down but Herrick is still getting bigger).
