Yes, I believe the names got abandoned as it was still a sore point after the rivalries after ww1.
During WW1 the navy had settled into 2 camps, the Battlecruisers based in the Forth, and the Grand Fleet based in Scapa. After Jutland, the split became more defined with the 2 camps, Beatty's and Jellicoes, having the opinion that their leader "saved the day" after the other fellow almost "losing the battle".
IIRC, it started with the offical Admiralty report on the battle that Jellicoe commissioned but landed upon Beattys desk when was 1st Sea Lord. He found some parts of the report unflattering to him and so he wished the author to amend them, the author refused and thus the bun-fight started with both sides having antagonists willing to put into print the percieved failures of the other sides leader and why he lost the battle.
This internecine war over Jutland was fought in print in the 20s and into the 30s.
